Riria Allen, is our devoted tumuaki of Te Tai O Marokura, she has not only dedicated herself to her role but also cherishes her personal life. As a mother of eight children and a proud grandmother of three mokopuna, family holds a special place in Riria's heart. Riria Allen, has passionately served in her role for over 15 years. She had the privilege of learning alongside her mother, Miriama, who played a crucial role in shaping her management skills before her passing. Riria's exceptional leadership has driven the redevelopment of Te Tai O Marokura, surpassing expectations and challenging the stigma surrounding Maori health and social services.
With a deep sense of purpose, Riria is driven by the mission to Whakamana Ngāti Kuri hapū. The vision is to see Ngāti Kuri proud and thriving, and Riria is committed to making that vision a reality.
Te Tai O Marokura is a kaupapa Māori Health & Social Service, with over 40 years of operation in the Kaikoura district. The organization boasts qualified staff members who possess a wealth of experience in the community, social service, and health service sectors. Together, they work tirelessly to uphold the vision and mission of empowering the Tangata Whenua, knowing that when the community is empowered, it thrives.
Riria's unwavering dedication lies in ensuring that all kaimahi at Te Tai O Marokura receive the necessary resources and support to provide the highest quality service to the whanau within the Ngati Kuri Takiwa.
